Readers Choice Award - Best of the Best

(Three Rivers, Mich.) – Grace Healthcare of Three Rivers has been voted as the 2016 Readers’ Choice #1 Nursing Home by Three Rivers Commercial-News.

“This is a great way to start the New Year!” said Administrator Lindsay Morse, Grace Healthcare of Three Rivers. “I am so proud to be a member of such an amazing community.”

The freshly renovated Grace Healthcare of Three Rivers, formerly known as Riverview Manor, is a licensed 87-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center also offering a secure memory care unit in the St. Joseph County region. In 2016 the center received major upgrades, including a new skilled rehab unit featuring 12 private and 6 semi-private rooms, an occupational therapy kitchen for rehab-to-home programming, a multi-sensory room for dementia and Alzheimer’s care, a new roof, flooring, ceilings, state-of-the-art spa, and furnishings.

An Open House inviting residents’ families and the community to visit, tour and socialize was held on Sept. 29, 2016, with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce. Guests, including former residents, toured the center with staff and conversed in the main dining room enjoying refreshments and live entertainment.

Grace Healthcare of Three Rivers’ team embraces the concept of socialization for every resident and believes the healing process and long-term health stability relies on personalized care in a supportive, home-like environment. An individualized activities program is offered seven days a week, as well as options for dining, therapy, and a multitude of wellness opportunities.

One former resident, Shirley, recently said, “My goal was to get here and get stronger, and I believe I achieved my goal. I attribute my success to an outstanding therapy department and good care by some wonderful people. Because of my stay here, I am confident that I can go home and take care of myself.”

Morse attributes the center’s success to the dedication and compassion of her staff. “It is evident that we believe in quality care,” she said. “I want to personally thank the residents of Three Rivers and the surrounding areas for acknowledging our hard work.”
