COVID-19 Update, July 17, 2020

We completed our weekly testing last week on July 8 and this week we completed it on Wednesday, July 15. We have received our results for the weekly testing, and all test results are negative for COVID-19. Our next scheduled weekly testing is scheduled for July 22. We will report the results once they are received; any newly identified staff and/or residents with positive COVID-19 test results will be reported promptly and if all results are negative we will provide that update in our next communication.

As a reminder, the CDC recommends adding a plan for testing healthcare personnel and residents for COVID-19 infection, as many may be free of symptoms and yet may be contagious, into our other infection prevention and control strategies to mitigate the spread of the pandemic. Testing for COVID-19 in respiratory specimens can detect current infections and is an important addition to our other infection prevention and control strategies. We will also continue our other infection prevention procedures, as we’ve detailed for you in past communications, in our efforts to continue to protect our vulnerable residents.

We know you will be eager to learn of the results of our testing plan and may have questions. We will continue to provide updates through this method during this process. Rest assured that if you or your loved one(s) are directly impacted, you will continue to be contacted individually.

We also know how important it is to remain connected with each other and to express love. Please contact us, by phone or email, to schedule video chats, window visits, or phone calls with loved ones.
